Role Summary
Priority Account Managers (PAMs) manage and coordinate accounts regionally, focusing on mid-size Oral Migraine opportunities. They provide insights to internal stakeholders and support providers with product acquisition, education, and account management, creating protocols for local sites. PAMs build and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives, Operations Directors, Pharmacy Directors, and Business Managers. The role requires an established leader with demonstrated capabilities in the pharmaceutical and health care industry.
Responsibilities
- Maximize site of care (SOC) opportunities in accordance with product labeling, strategic imperatives, and Company policies
- Lead and ensure coordination and communication across all parties involved in building SOC networks at the national/regional level
- Responsible for integrating rapid changes in the customer landscape
- Implementing approved strategies to achieve goals, consistent with AbbVie objectives and policies. Understand health care issues/strategies, customer issues/trends and best practices to establish credibility beyond product and therapeutic areas
- Collaborate cross functionally to act as a liaison between AbbVie and customer decision makers to assist the execution of contracts consistent with established enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Identify, evaluate, develop, monitor, partnerships/business plans within the designated customer/partner accounts to align with defined objectives
- Responsible for developing and growing relationships with appropriate individuals within the accounts to meet the business needs of the customer/partner through a collaborative approach while driving results
- Develop a strong alliance with field-based colleagues to ensure the appropriate level of cross-functional support for customers within a defined geography and for developing and executing pull-through strategies
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Minimum of 4 years experience with market access/site of care customer segments and reimbursement (commercial and government payers, billing/coding)
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, D and knowledge of commercial insurance reimbursement
- Understanding and familiarity with hospital and community clinic billing and reimbursement processes
- Extensive experience in account management or similar analogue
- Previous experience with corporate level account planning
- Outstanding oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Cross-functional project management experience; demonstrated cross-functional team leadership; strong executive presence; established ability to work with diverse individuals, customers, and teams
- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials
- HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities. You are responsible for ensuring you satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements and for any associated liability for failing to do so
