Role: Principal Scientist (Clinical Director) in Translational Medicine/Early Clinical Development within Neuroscience, based in the US. Objectives include leading early clinical programs, providing clinical expertise for target validation, and designing preclinical/clinical experiments to develop novel neurologic and psychiatric therapeutics. Responsibilities encompass collaborating with discovery and late-stage teams, advancing therapeutics from preclinical to Phase 1/2 trials, developing clinical pharmacology and biomarker strategies, and supporting regulatory submissions. Requirements: MD or MD/PhD, with clinical training in neurology or psychiatry, and a strong research track record. Experience in biomedical research, clinical medicine, and collaborative cross-functional work is essential. Preferred: Board certification or eligibility in Neurology or Psychiatry, academic faculty experience, and prior translational or early clinical development exposure. High-Value: Focus on neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders, early-stage development (Phases 1-2), biomarker validation, and global clinical trial collaboration. Work setup: hybrid, with approximately 10% travel.
