Role: Principal Scientist supporting Amgen’s GEM (Genetically Engineered Models) Program with expertise in molecular validation and characterization. Responsibilities: develop and execute molecular strategies for GEM validation, including sequencing (long-read, NGS), qPCR, ddPCR, and off-target analysis; optimize automation, computational workflows, AI-enabled tools, and data interpretation; collaborate across teams to ensure model integrity, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to scalable infrastructure. Qualifications: PhD or MS in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related field, with 2+ or 5+ years of industry/research experience; hands-on expertise in genome editing (CRISPR), molecular assays, sequencing technologies, and bioinformatics; experience with engineered cell systems (ESCs, iPSCs) preferred; strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
