How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop automation systems integrating robotics, instrumentation, equipment, and software into cohesive solutions.
- Partner with researchers to translate experimental needs into scalable digital workflows.
- Collaborate across automation, data science, modeling, IT, knowledge capture, and CMC.
- Lead projects from concept through deployment; improve existing automation platforms.
- Integrate instrument/equipment platforms with semantic context and data systems for end-to-end workflows.
- Provide hands-on partnership, support, troubleshooting, and training to scientists.
Education Minimum Requirement
- Ph.D. (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Engineering/Physics/Biology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Computer Science/Material Science or related) + 6 years.
- M.S. in related field + 8 years.
- B.S. in related field + 10 years.
Required Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of (bio)pharmaceutical process/product/analytical development.
- Entrepreneurial, independent work on cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of ontologies/taxonomies/controlled vocabularies, metadata, semantic data.
- Knowledge of ontology design, FAIR, data/metadata standards, semantic modeling, knowledge representation.
- Experience enabling AI-ready data via semantic technologies and data integration.
- Integrate heterogeneous scientific data; strong communication; deliver under compressed timelines.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Ontology development/management (Life Science); OWL/RDF/Protégé; reasoning.
- Familiarity with RDF/OWL/SPARQL/SKOS; knowledge graphs; Allotrope/CDISC.
