Principal Revenue Accountant

Role: Principal Revenue Accountant within the Finance team, reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting. Primary objectives include managing revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and supporting accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities encompass executing revenue activities such as contract review, deferred and accrued revenue, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and collaborating with Sales, Legal, and other functions on complex contracts. The role also involves developing and maintaining revenue policies, supporting audits, and driving process improvements through automation and data analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 7+ years of experience in revenue accounting, with strong knowledge of ASC 606, month-end/quarter-end close, and ERP systems. Preferred skills include CPA or progress toward CPA, experience in high-growth manufacturing or service environments, and familiarity with revenue recognition software. The candidate should possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally. High-value specifics: US remote work, some travel (0-25%), and a focus on financial processes supporting biopharma-related revenue streams, potentially linked to diagnostics, biomarker detection, or related life sciences segments.
