Role Summary

Principal Product Manager, Developer and AI Platform overseeing the next generation of a surgical intelligence platform to empower healthcare products, collaborating across software, data science, AI/ML, data engineering, and program management to develop a scalable edge-to-cloud platform and drive adoption across the surgical ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leadership to drive platform vision and roadmap, aligning with data, AI/ML and business strategies.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs to inform platform direction and long-term planning.
  • articulate platform strategy, technical concepts, and business impact for varied stakeholders.
  • Synthesize internal and external developer needs into critical user journeys and platform requirements.
  • Define detailed platform requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics; ensure delivery.
  • Design cloud-native architectures and enterprise applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Own the product definition of the AI/ML stack for hybrid and sovereign cloud environments.
  • Lead grooming sessions with data science and engineering teams; evaluate options and guide trade-offs.
  • Drive execution with partners, balancing build, buy and partner decisions.
  • Ensure capabilities support model risk management, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability across the platform organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization (data scientists, engineers, quality, security, legal).

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in AI/ML, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • 3+ years building internal tools and services to improve Developer Experience and digital products.
  • High technical understanding to collaborate with engineers, architects, and AI/ML practitioners.
  • Deep understanding of ML/LLM Ops principles and the AI development lifecycle.
  • Strong technical acumen to translate complex concepts into clear product requirements.
  • Proven track record delivering AI/ML products from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on digital platforms or ecosystems, particularly in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML development workflows involving clinical, imaging, or video data.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, DICOMweb).
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where platform strategy and execution evolve rapidly.
