Operations
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and govern the building drawings database (building/equipment drawings, turn-over packages, equipment manuals/specs, sequence of operations); ensure operations follow design and approve/implement changes.
- Produce unique, cost-effective engineering outcomes; oversee internal/external consultant design work; analyze complex interdisciplinary problems and recommend solutions.
- Represent engineering on corporate task forces; identify customer/client needs and propose solutions; support strategic planning.
- Coordinate with vendors on plans, budgets, schedules, and facility modifications; lead inspection coordination to ensure regulatory/spec compliance.
- Manage engineering/maintenance/alteration/relocation of office/lab spaces and equipment; oversee building equipment (HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, generators/transfer switches, building automation, sprinklers, utilities, plumbing, electrical).
- Provide off-hours emergency support; develop and manage HS&E policies/procedures; administer safety/security plans; monitor facilities.
- Perform injury/illness investigations, root cause analysis, data trending, audits, and safety compliance inspections; ensure required safety documentation.
- Establish budgets/spending projections; develop facility engineering policies/procedures; manage year-end shutdown, long-range planning, daily facility operations, and metrics; mentor IFM engineering team (procedures, KPI tracking).
Qualifications:
- BS in engineering/science or closely related desired; or equivalent experience with 6+ years significant engineering/operational experience.
- Strong technical knowledge; judgment on complex problems; collaboration and communication; ability to negotiate/reconcile differences.
Preferred:
- BS in Biomedical/Chemical/Mechanical; 5+ years large capital projects/facility upgrades (Clean Utility & HVAC); GMP experience; software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, Maximo, Revit.
