Responsibilities:
- Support design and delivery of automation platforms and system integration for site Building Management Systems (BMS)/Building Automation Systems.
- Lead system design, process design, delivery strategy, factory acceptance testing, installation, and system commissioning.
- Collaborate with A&E firms, system integrators, engineering peers, and Tech@Lilly to develop/manage software/hardware design, testing, startup, commissioning, and qualification.
- Post-project, support GMP manufacturing operations in a central engineering function.
- Champion safety culture; mentor and coach others.
- Develop requirements/specifications for software development, hardware design, and system architecture.
- Support AF/ID and P&ID development, instrument specifications, sequences of operation, panel design, and testing strategies.
- Participate in basic/detailed design incl. staffing, statements of work, supplier management, and delivery strategies.
- Develop computer system validation strategies; build capabilities in the Houston site automation team.
- Develop automation/platform procedures; provide engineering support for PSM/PHRs.
- Provide technical oversight for User Requirements and related Design Review/Qualification documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering or related field.
- 5+ years building management/automation systems.
- 5+ years manufacturing experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years process automation; Rockwell Automation, JCI Metasys, or Siemens Desigo preferred (other control platforms considered).
- Knowledge of process instrumentation and data historians.
- Strong analytical/critical thinking; collaboration.
Additional Information:
