Responsibilities:
- Architect and build AI agent systems for security operations: autonomous detection, investigation, response, threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, and risk assessment.
- Tackle novel, high-complexity problems: adversarial robustness, secure agent-to-agent communication, and guardrails for autonomous decision-making in high-stakes environments.
- Develop and apply frameworks/tooling/patterns for secure, reliable agentic AI systems.
- Conduct original research and experimentation on agentic AI for offensive/defensive security; translate into working code.
- Build proof-of-concept exploits and adversarial tests to identify failure modes and inform defenses.
- Develop and publish technical guidance and policy for agentic AI security; author security position papers on emerging technologies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert/driver of an AI Cybersecurity Maturity program (app security, AI controls, infrastructure, discovery/inventory, operations/IR, and policy/procedure).
- Integrate LLMs/custom models and security tooling (SIEM/EDR/SOAR/cloud/vuln scanners) into agent architectures; evaluate/adopt emerging AI capabilities.
- Set technical direction for agent development (evaluation, testing, deployment); mentor engineers.
Qualifications:
- Required: BS + 9 yrs; MS + 8 yrs; PhD + 4 yrs. Hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering/research. Strong production software engineering (Python required). Deep expertise in at least two areas (e.g., security ops, app security, threat intel, vuln research, detection, offensive, cloud). Experience building AI agents/AI-ML security tools at scale. Daily use of agent coding tools (e.g., Claude Code/Cursor/Copilot/Aider). Track record of original technical work. Ability at the security+AI intersection. Experience developing standards/frameworks guidance adopted by others. Strong written/verbal communication.
- Preferred: Agent orchestration/autonomous systems (LangChain/AutoGen/MCP/custom). Adversarial ML/AI red teaming/AI safety. Familiarity with NIST/ISO27001/SOX for AI. Published work (Black Hat/DEF CON/OWASP/academic). Regulated industry experience. Open-source security contributions. OWASP/MITRE ATT&CK in production. (Security clearance eligibility not required.)
Benefits (if eligible): paid time off (vacation/holidays/sick), medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and eligibility for long-term incentive programs.
