Role Summary

Precision Medicine Liaison - Mid South: Apply diagnostic and clinical test market expertise to enable timely, high-quality in-market companion diagnostics and testing solutions. Act as regional expert to support oncology customers with in-depth diagnostic insights and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engage pre- and post-launch to enable testing and address barriers at Region Target Reference Labs and select accounts through partnerships with diagnostic companies and affiliated networks.
  • Identify and develop relationships with Region Reference Labs, Region Key Accounts with Molecular Genomics programs, and pathology groups to gather insights and educate on appropriate testing.
  • Collaborate with Field Cross Functional Team, Medical Diagnostics, Precision Medicine HQ, and PM/Brand HQ Marketing.
  • Provide regional/local market insights, support regional initiatives, and contribute to quality improvement projects as subject matter expert.
  • Serve as PM regional expert to support oncology customers with in-depth diagnostic expertise and internal support.
  • Work with state government affairs teams to integrate biomarker bills into interactions with reference labs and accounts.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Required: Two years of experience in diagnostics with a focus on oncology
  • Required: Experience in a consultative sales environment with a lab, life science company, or pharmaceutical manufacturer
  • Required: Ability to discuss scientific content to multiple audiences
  • Required: Executive presence and strong presentation skills
  • Required: Ability to network and collaborate across cross-functional teams and navigate across tumor teams
  • Required: Expertise in genomics/diagnostics, testing process flow, and oncology patient journey
  • Required: Understanding of diagnostics business strategy, lab networks, and collaboration with external laboratories
  • Required: Knowledge of the changing oncology ecosystem, market dynamics, diagnostic trends, and biomarker legislation with problem-solving skills to address barriers
  • Required: Ability to lead without authority
  • Required: Strategic, entrepreneurial problem solver with data- and account-driven opportunities
  • Required: Ability to set objectives for precision medicine across geography and engage target customers
  • Required: Ethical standards alignment and travel ability (percentage varies by geography)
