Postdoctoral Fellow - Agentic AI Solutions and SciML

Role: Postdoctoral Fellow in Agentic AI Solutions and Scientific ML within Lilly's Digital Transformation and Data Science team, focusing on translating AI/ML concepts into practical tools for drug delivery innovation. Responsibilities: collaborate with DDCS functions to identify high-impact AI opportunities, develop AI-enabled workflows, agentic knowledge extraction systems, and decision support tools; design, validate, and deploy AI systems ensuring reproducibility and responsible AI principles; partner with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and regulatory stakeholders; mentor team members and stay current with AI advancements. Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field; up to 5 years of applied experience in AI solution development using Python/R ecosystems; strong problem framing and communication skills for scientific and business audiences; authorized to work in the US. Preferred: experience applying AI/ML to healthcare/life sciences, knowledge of cloud platforms, knowledge graphs, LLM frameworks, and AI safety.
