POSITION SUMMARY
- Provide technical support for assigned accounts within Zoetis Pork (desired location: IL; territory responsibility extends regionally across the Midwest).
- Provide technical expertise for Strategic Pork Producer Accounts, Veterinary Accounts, and prospect accounts; partner with the account manager to develop strategic account plans to maximize Zoetis sales; act as a trusted business partner.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Call on pork producers, veterinarians, dealers, consultants, and distributor representatives to provide scientific support.
- Provide technical training and education to colleagues.
- Provide technical advice on routine inquiries and act as a resource.
- Develop solutions for animal health and production issues based on customer needs.
- Apply veterinary solutions to meet individual customer needs and promote long-term relationships.
- Build relationships with veterinarians, nutritionists, extension/university personnel, pork processors, and other consultants.
- Partner with Area Business Manager(s) to develop and execute the Area Operations Plan.
- Create and execute customer-focused business development plans identifying growth opportunities and allocating budget/resources.
- Support team selling by planning call cycles and ensuring account follow-up.
- Deliver educational training using presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) to internal/external audiences.
- Advise Learning & Development on technical content; provide specialty support as directed.
- Participate in special projects/new product launch teams and support Veterinary Medical Investigations and Product Support.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation and manage/report STOMP diagnostic budget and outcomes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- DVM (or equivalent).
- 2+ years post-doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research, or industry.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Current knowledge in assigned veterinary medicine and pork production management areas.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office; ability to learn internal systems).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years private practice experience.
- Record of accomplishments in practice management/strategy execution and leadership.
- Good judgment; strategic thinking.
- Research experience/published papers.
- Extensive knowledge of Zoetis pork products/animal health industry (or ability to learn quickly).
- Experience influencing senior management/peers.
- Multilingual (Spanish and English).
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to drive across defined geography (producer, clinic, processing facilities).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base salary range: $106,000.00–$152,000.00.
- Eligible for short-term and long-term incentives.
