Role Summary
Plasma Processor (Customer Service) supports plasma center operations, including maintaining donor files, processing samples, and handling shipping and inventory control. The role requires strong organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills and comfort working in extreme temperatures. Location: Worcester, MA.
Responsibilities
- Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing.
- Records weight of product and samples.
- Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within required timeframe.
- Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping box to send samples to the testing lab.
- Monitors stored products and reports working conditions of equipment.
- Maintains active communication and quality.

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; exposure to extreme cold below 32 degrees F in the plasma freezer.
- Personal protective equipment required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear).
- Standing for 4 to 6 hours per day; bending and twisting for 1-2 hours per day; frequent hand movements; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; may walk up to 1-2 hours per day.
- Hearing acuity and color/vision requirements; ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to listen to spoken information.
