Role Summary

Plasma Processor (Customer Service) supports operations in the plasma center, including donor file management, shipping, and inventory control. The role requires strong organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills and comfort working in extreme temperatures. Location: Brookings, SD, USA.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing.
  • Records weight of product and samples.
  • Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within required timeframe.
  • Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping box to send samples to the testing lab.
  • Monitors stored products and reports working conditions of equipment.
  • Maintains active communication and quality.

Additional Requirements

  • Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms; personal protective equipment is required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear).
  • Standing for 4 to 6 hours per day; bending and twisting of neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day; frequent hand movement and the ability to perform precise, coordinated movements.
  • Frequent foot movement; may walk up to 1–2 hours per day; occasional lifting of 15 lb, with lifting up to 50 lb during 1–2 hours per day.
  • Hearing acuity, color perception/discrimination, and near/far vision requirements; must be able to follow oral or written instructions.
