Role Summary

Plasma Processor (Customer Service) performs donor sample collection and processing, maintains donor records, and supports shipping and inventory in the plasma center. The role requires strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills, and comfort working in extreme temperatures. Location: Savannah, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing.
  • Records weight of product and samples.
  • Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within the required timeframe.
  • Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping boxes to send samples to the testing lab.
  • Monitors stored products and reports on the condition of equipment.
  • Maintains active communication and quality.

Additional Requirements

  • Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms; PPE required.
  • Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while working in the plasma freezer.
  • Standing 4–6 hours per day; bending and twisting neck and waist 1–2 hours per day; frequent hand movements and fine finger dexterity; occasional squatting, crouching, or sitting on heels; walking up to 1–2 hours per day.
  • Light lifting of 15 lb on occasion, lifting 25–35 lb for 1–2 hours per day, with a maximum lift of 50 lb.
  • Hearing acuity essential; color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision correctable to 20/30 and 20/100 in the other eye; ability to listen and follow instructions (oral or written).
