Plasma Processing Technician

Role: Plasma donor sample collection technician responsible for ensuring accurate, sterile, and compliant sampling, labeling, storage, and shipping of plasma units. Objectives include maintaining product quality through proper handling, monitoring storage conditions, and recording donor data accurately. Responsibilities encompass sample collection using sterile techniques, verifying label accuracy, managing freezer/refrigerator temperatures, and documenting procedures per SOPs. The role also involves equipment calibration, environmental safety compliance, and potential cross-training in other center functions. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, with at least three months of laboratory or warehouse experience preferred, and basic math skills. The position demands manual dexterity, physical stamina (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds), and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced, potentially hazardous environment involving bloodborne pathogens and chemicals. Bilingual skills may be advantageous. The work environment requires extended hours, OT, and safety PPE usage, with an emphasis on confidentiality and operational efficiency. The role reports to the Assistant Center Manager and is suited for individuals capable of following detailed SOPs and maintaining high safety standards.
