Role Summary

Planning Manager responsible for leading the operations planning team to drive efficiency in the supply chain, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize planning, forecasting, and ERP performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Planning team, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all activities.
  • Implement and uphold best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain planning.
  • Develop and execute innovative planning, scheduling, and forecasting strategies to streamline operations.
  • Review business forecasts, planning and adjusting within a 90 day period and developing replenishment strategy.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, identify opportunities for enhancement, and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial and Finance, to align supply chain planning with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and QC to prioritize demand to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate the seamless integration of new product lines by devising strategic plans and overseeing their implementation.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve interdepartmental communication, streamline processes, and drive organizational alignment.
  • Partner with IT and relevant departments to enhance the planning and scheduling functionalities of the ERP system, particularly Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Work with team members 1-1 to develop skills and evolve the processes within the company.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, fostering a culture of compliance and safety awareness.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of proven experience in supply chain planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required; familiarity with advanced planning tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively.
  • Preferred background in a scientific field with exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
