Physician Substitute- seeking EMT A or LVNs

About the Role: As a Physician Substitute, you will support the plasma collection process by screening and assessing potential donors, conducting physical exams, managing adverse reactions, and performing immunizations. You will partner with the Center Manager and Center Physician, applying clinical judgment and following established safety and regulatory protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical evaluations per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct initial interviews, health history assessments, and physical exams to determine donor eligibility.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) during and after donations as required.
- Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies; consult the Center Physician as needed.
- Administer immunizations per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate medical records for donor assessments, immunizations, and adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with the Center Physician and Center Quality Manager on complex medical cases.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and donor privacy.
- Follow organizational policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous plasma experience in a physician substitute role is a plus.
Skills/Attributes:
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
- Strong attention to detail; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; adaptability; problem-solving; composure under pressure; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.
