Role Summary
Phlebotomist position in a Grifols plasma center (Jacksonville, FL). The role involves donor screening, phlebotomy and plasmapheresis operations, ensuring donor comfort and safety, and maintaining product quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnects and disposes of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Qualifications

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment
- Standing for 6–8 hours per day; bending and twisting neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movements and the ability to perform precise coordinated movements of the fingers
- Frequent foot movement; may walk up to 6–8 hours per day; light lifting of 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs
- Hearing and vision requirements; color perception and near/far vision that may be corrected
