Role Summary
Phlebotomist β We Train. You will join an international team centered on improving healthcare and patient outcomes, contributing to Grifolsβ legacy in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma or GED
- Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Required: Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Preferred: Superior customer service standards
Skills
- Patient, reliable, and able to keep donors comfortable and happy
- Strong communication and rapport-building abilities
- Attention to donor confidentiality and safety protocols
- Technical proficiency with plasmapheresis equipment (training provided)
Education
- High School diploma or GED (required)
Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and various environmental conditions
- Personal protective equipment required; physical demands include standing for 6β8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive movements
