Role Summary

Phlebotomist – We Train. You will join an international team centered on improving healthcare and patient outcomes, contributing to Grifols’ legacy in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
  • Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
  • Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
  • Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
  • Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
  • Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School diploma or GED
  • Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Required: Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
  • Preferred: Superior customer service standards

Skills

  • Patient, reliable, and able to keep donors comfortable and happy
  • Strong communication and rapport-building abilities
  • Attention to donor confidentiality and safety protocols
  • Technical proficiency with plasmapheresis equipment (training provided)

Education

  • High School diploma or GED (required)

Additional Requirements

  • Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and various environmental conditions
  • Personal protective equipment required; physical demands include standing for 6–8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive movements
