Role Summary
Phlebotomist in a plasma center responsible for donor screening and collection, ensuring donor comfort and product quality. You will establish rapport with donors, respond to donor reactions, and monitor donors and equipment while operating the automated plasmapheresis machines.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donor health and equipment to ensure donor well-being and product quality.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and properly dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Qualifications
- Required: A High School diploma or GED
- Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Required: Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Preferred: Superior customer service standards
- Preferred: An interest in making a difference in the world

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms; requires PPE; standing 6–8 hours per day; frequent bending, twisting, and hand movements; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; vision and hearing requirements; ability to follow oral or written instructions and communicate with diverse groups.
