      Role Summary
Phlebotomist in Griffith, Indiana. You will support donor screening and care in a plasma center, monitor donor health and equipment, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines. The role emphasizes donor comfort, confidentiality, and compliance with essential safety procedures.
Responsibilities
  - Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Education
  - High School diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
  - Work is performed in a plasma center; exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms; exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; exposure to extreme cold (below 32°F) in plasma freezer; PPE required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves, cold gear).
- Work is performed standing for 6–8 hours per day; bending and twisting neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day.
- Frequent hand movement and fine motor skills; ability to grasp and manipulate objects; frequent foot movement; may walk up to 6–8 hours per day.
- Light lifting of 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs; reach above/below shoulder height as needed.
- Hearing, color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision; ability to listen and follow instructions; ability to understand spoken words and sentences.
