Role Summary
Phlebotomist – We Train. You are a fit if you have strong customer service, a high school diploma or GED, ability to work a flexible schedule, and an interest in making a difference. Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable. Our ideal phlebotomist is patient, reliable, and committed to keeping donors comfortable and happy.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical equipment; protective PPE required; potential exposure to extreme cold in plasma freezer.
- Standing for 6–8 hours per day; bending/twisting up to 1–2 hours per day; repetitive hand and finger movements; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Hearing, vision, and color perception requirements as specified for job tasks; ability to follow oral or written instructions.
