Role Summary
Phlebotomist – We Train
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- You establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
- You respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitors donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
- Sets up, disconnects, and operates the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnects and disposes of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Qualifications

- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable

Education

Additional Requirements
- Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment; extreme cold conditions in plasma freezer.
- Standing for 6 to 8 hours per day; physical requirements including bending, twisting, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Personal protective equipment required (gloves, protective eyewear, garments, cold-gear).
