Role Summary

Phlebotomist responsible for donor interactions, ensuring donor comfort and confidentiality, and maintaining product quality in a plasma center. You will set up and operate automated plasmapheresis machines, assist with donor reactions, and monitor donors and equipment to ensure safety and quality. Location: Lancaster, PA, USA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
  • Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
  • Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
  • Monitor donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
  • Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
  • Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Qualifications

  • Required: Superior customer service standards.
  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Required: An interest in making a difference in the world.
  • Required: Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

  • Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms; exposure to electrical equipment; PPE required.
  • Standing 6 to 8 hours per day; bending and twisting of neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day.
  • Frequent hand movement; ability to manipulate objects; may walk up to 6–8 hours per day.
  • Light lifting of 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs; may reach below shoulder height.
  • Hearing and vision requirements; ability to listen to and follow instructions.
