Job Description (Pharmaceutical Sales Representative – Diabetes/Endocrinology)

Essential Job Functions:
- Deliver on corporate objectives specific to territory.
- Develop, evolve, and execute territory and account-level business plans with RBD and internal business partners.
- Recommend actions to eliminate/minimize barriers tied to marketplace trends, opportunities/threats, competitive information, etc.
- Leverage internal expertise to maximize field impact.
- Partner with RBD, Channel/Trade & Market Access Teams, and Sales Representatives to create territory-specific strategies ensuring patient access.
- Manage territory budget and resource allocations to maximize ROI.
- Represent the company to internal/external customers as a value/solutions provider.
- Collaborate with peers, marketing, and training teams to share information and implement initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships and regular communications with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Professionally and ethically represent the company externally (e.g., hospitals, IDNs, physicians, local diabetes chapters) and internally.
- Own ongoing professional development; leverage internal training.
- Navigate complex, multi-layered accounts.
- Communicate and engage customers using internal resources.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years in field commercial roles (e.g., sales representative/hospital representative/sales trainer/marketing) or 5+ years in bioscience commercial roles (e.g., sales/training/marketing/regional account manager).
- Valid US state-issued driver’s license.
- Recent bioscience and/or diabetes experience (highly desirable).
- Ability to create/execute adaptive business plans; use data/metrics to improve performance.
- Thrives in ambiguity; adapts quickly and asks questions.
- Competencies: self-directed, organizational, verbal/written communication, time management, presentation, project management, problem solving, negotiation, influencer, adaptability.

Working Conditions:
- Periodic evening/weekend work as needed; travel minimally 20%.
- Vehicle travel as necessary.
