Role Summary
Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for R&I Primary Care Team responsible for educating healthcare professionals, driving sales in the assigned territory, and executing local strategies to increase product adoption in Spring Hill, FL area.
Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth product and disease state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, indications, and product safety to support on-label prescribing.
- Function independently to drive sales performance and meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.
- Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
- Maintain knowledge of market, demographics, and managed care information for the territory.
- Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop local strategy and business plan to increase sales.
- Utilize formulary opportunities and Strategic Targeting Plans with promotional resources and analytics to enhance territory effectiveness.
- Provide education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines.
- Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to align objectives.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Required: 2+ years of demonstrated Sales, B2B, or Commercial experience
- Required: Driver’s license and safe driving record
- Preferred: Knowledge of medical/healthcare/pharmacy industry, especially in Respiratory; prior sales experience; strong organizational and communication skills; demonstrated leadership; good judgment and decision-making; results-oriented with time-management skills; ability to learn and convey complex information
