Role Summary
Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for the CVRM Primary Care Team in Belleville, IL. You will educate healthcare professionals on cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic therapies, support on-label prescribing with evidence-based product profiles, and execute strategies to grow sales within your territory. You will collaborate with district and regional leadership to drive local strategy and maximize patient impact, while maintaining up-to-date market knowledge. You will complete required training and continuously develop product expertise.
Responsibilities
- Develop product and disease-state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
- Operate independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographics, and managed care information relative to the assigned sales territory.
- Collaborate with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a local strategy and business plan to generate increases in sales within the territory.
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources, personnel, and analytical tools to enhance effectiveness in the assigned sales territory, based on local assessment of customer needs.
- Provide education to healthcare providers through programs that align with AstraZenecaβs ethical guidelines.
- Work with Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to coordinate selling efforts.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: A driver's license and safe driving record
- Preferred: Knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry and clinical skills, preferably within Cardiovascular, Renal or Metabolic Disease therapeutic areas
- Preferred: Prior sales experience
- Preferred: Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
