Role Summary

Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist โ€“ (BASS) Advanced Specialty Care, Indiana. Focused on a specific group of accounts and HCPs in health systems/pharmacies, academic centers, alternate sites of care, multispecialty physician groups, and federal accounts. Responsible for developing account plans, educating healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, and driving on-label prescribing for Respiratory Biologics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated focus to a specific group of accounts and HCPs in targeted care settings.
  • Conduct business planning and needs assessment of accounts; collaborate with internal and external partners to meet account needs.
  • Develop deep product and disease state knowledge; educate account-based HCPs on clinical evidence, indications, transitions of care, and product efficacy/safety for Respiratory Biologics.
  • Engage with internal AZ stakeholders and other sales/medical/access teams as needed and aligned to Compliance Guidelines.
  • Understand account dynamics, stakeholder mapping, referral networks, and patient flow; create and implement Strategic Account Plans; deliver account- and patient-focused solutions.
  • Function independently with coordination to meet therapeutic and territory targets; complete required training.
  • Maximize formulary opportunities using promotional resources and analytic tools; tailor plans to local customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities, present value propositions, and coordinate across sales, market access, and medical affairs to ensure delivery of biologics to accounts and patients.
  • Provide education to healthcare providers through programs within ethical guidelines.
  • Pursue personal and professional development; seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Specialty Sales experience
  • Required: Demonstrated account management experience
  • Required: Track record in complex clinical environments with key stakeholders
  • Required: Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Required: Strong scientific acumen; knowledge of reimbursement and distribution challenges for biologics
  • Required: Ability to travel 60%; valid driverโ€™s license with safe driving record
  • Preferred: Pharmaceutical account management in health systems, federal accounts, or multi-specialty groups; experience launching respiratory specialty products; buy-and-bill/IDN transition experience
