Role Summary

Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist β€šΓ„Γ¬ (BASS) Advanced Specialty Care, Indiana. Territory includes Louisville, KY. Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team focused on transforming asthma and respiratory disease treatment through novel therapies and biologics.

Responsibilities

  • The primary duty is to provide dedicated focus to a specific group of accounts and HCPs primarily in health systems/pharmacies, academic centers, alternate sites of care, multispecialty physician groups, and federal accounts.
  • Conduct business planning and needs assessment of accounts and collaborate with internal and external partners to meet account needs.
  • Develop strong product and disease state knowledge and educate account-based healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, transitions of care, and product efficacy/safety to support on-label prescribing for Respiratory Biologics.
  • Engage with accounts using internal AZ stakeholders when appropriate, including partnerships with other sales teams, medical, and access teams in alignment with Compliance Guidelines.
  • Understand account dynamics, stakeholder mapping, referral networks, access drivers, and patient flow; create and execute Strategic Account Plans and connect solutions to stakeholders.
  • Function independently with strong coordination to generate demand and ensure brand forecasts and budgets are met or exceeded; complete required training.
  • Capitalize on formulary approvals and opportunities through strategic targeting, utilizing resources to maximize effectiveness in the assigned geography.
  • Identify business opportunities, present value propositions, and collaborate across sales, market access, and medical affairs to ensure delivery of biologics to accounts and patients.
  • Provide special education to healthcare providers through programs within ethical guidelines.
  • Continuously grow, seek feedback, and develop strengths and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Required: Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Specialty Sales experience
  • Required: Demonstrated account management experience
  • Required: Track record of engaging stakeholders in complex clinical environments
  • Required: Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Required: Strong scientific acumen in a competitive environment
  • Required: Knowledge of reimbursement and distribution challenges of biologic products; ability to triage to internal stakeholders
  • Required: Ability to travel β€šΓ„Γ¬ 60% travel
  • Required: Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and safe driving record

Desired Skills

  • Pharmaceutical Account Management Experience (Health Systems, Federal Accounts, Multi-Specialty provider groups)
