Role Summary

The Territory Manager will drive account-based selling to health care providers across multiple specialties within the Lilly portfolio. They will act as a credible expert and resource for medicines and appropriate patient care, building relationships with key customers to drive utilization and adoption of our medicines for the right patients. The role requires applying Lilly’s Selling, Competency, and Account Management models to meet customer needs and deliver results within the Regional Healthcare Market.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the full portfolio of priority products with multiple HCP specialties.
  • Understands the territory marketplace; tailors the strategy to grow and own business outcomes.
  • Navigates the healthcare environment and payer landscape to deepen account understanding and influence key stakeholders.
  • Uses data, analytics, and business insight tools to identify trends, priorities, opportunities, and obstacles.
  • Implements new technologies, including AI tools, to streamline customer interactions.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance the customer experience and models a growth mindset.
  • Elevates performance by applying the company’s selling, competency, and account management models.
  • Demonstrates learning agility to understand disease state, marketplace, trials, and product labeling.
  • Engages in patient-centered dialogues with customers to promote the portfolio.
  • Promotes across the BU portfolio, maintains consistent regional practices, and utilizes the Virtual Medical Hub as appropriate.
  • Achieves targeted sales and execution metrics while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Owns customer relationships for product promotion, on-label medical questions, and general market access.
  • Maintains accountability for results across all accounts and fosters collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Required: Professional certification or license as required by state.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Required: Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no sponsorship).
  • Preferred: Demonstrated business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution/results skills.
  • Preferred: Account-based selling experience; ability to engage staff at accounts.
  • Preferred: Strong learning agility, self-motivation, team orientation, and emotional intelligence.
  • Preferred: Bilingual skills aligned with territory and customer needs.
  • Preferred: Residence within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
