Pharmaceutical Operations Technician (Batching)

Responsibilities:
- Work independently and with a team to complete production activities and meet schedule adherence.
- Support antigen manufacturing: preparation/sterilization of equipment, preparation/sterilization of media components, fermentation of bacterial antigens, downstream processing, and serial batching/blending prior to sterile filling.
- In the Batching Department, perform large-scale vaccine manufacture in accordance with GMP: equipment/vessel preparation and sterilization, staging/blending antigens and adjuvants, and sampling for serial batches.
- Execute tasks with strong attention to detail; complete documentation using Good Documentation Practices.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and use basic problem-solving skills.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- AS/BS in the sciences (preferred)
Required qualifications/skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to follow Manufacturing Directions, SOPs, and company/regulatory policies.
- Time management to meet deadlines.
- Teamwork and initiative to support others.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel).
Preferred qualifications/skills:
- 1+ year pharmaceutical experience or 2+ years manufacturing experience.
- Comprehension of aseptic processes.
- Experience with quality improvement/continuous improvement and site quality metrics.
