The Position
- Consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs (e.g., HEP/GI) and key customers.
- Maintains relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and key personnel in healthcare settings and major academic/large community health systems.
- Assists target physicians with local clinical/educational initiatives by coordinating company resources to ensure aligned approaches.

Essential Functions
- Drives sales and seeks wins to exceed goals; collaborates by sharing customer insights/trends.
- Leads initiatives based on HCP influence across territory; identifies/leverages key customer insights to stay ahead of market trends.
- Challenges and influences target physicians’ patient management by sharing new, approved information.
- Develops tailored account plans; executes sales strategies based on customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitors.
- Maintains required activity records/call data; demonstrates product/disease state fluency.
- Implements the Novo Nordisk Way selling model (pre/post call planning, uncover needs, deliver core messages, resolve objections, gain commitment).
- Manages samples/property per policy; manages discretionary territory and marketing promotional budgets.

Physical Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; maintain good standing per assigned Novo Nordisk points threshold.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent) and/or PharmD required.
- 2+ years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated leadership/decision-making; self-starter.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows/Word/Excel); prior sales data/call reporting software ideal.
- Preferred: Health Systems/Institutional Account experience; knowledge of gastroenterology and/or hepatology.
- Clinical approach to selling/engagement; ability to navigate PAs in a rapidly developing market.
