The Position:
- Consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs (e.g., HEP/GI) and key customers.

Relationships:
- Maintain relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and key healthcare personnel in academic and community health systems.
- Coordinate resources to support targeted physicians’ local clinical and educational initiatives.
- Report to the District Business Manager and coordinate with other field teams to align on customers and market dynamics.

Essential Functions:
- Drive sales outcomes to exceed goals; share customer insights/trends.
- Lead initiatives across geography based on HCP influence; identify and leverage customer insights.
- Influence patient management by productively challenging HCP approaches with approved clinical/scientific information.
- Develop tailored account plans; execute sales strategies based on needs, trends, and competitors.
- Maintain timely and accurate call/activity records.
- Demonstrate product/disease-state fluency; use the Novo Nordisk Way selling model.
- Manage samples/company property per policy; manage territory budget and promotional program budgets.

Physical Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license; maintain good standing (per points threshold).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent and/or PharmD required.
- 2+ years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience.
- Leadership and decision-making; self-starter; ability to navigate PA’s in a rapidly developing market.
- Intermediate Windows/Word/Excel; sales data/call reporting software experience ideal.
- Clinical approach to selling/engaging customers.
- Preferred: Health systems/institutional account experience; gastroenterology and/or hepatology knowledge.
