The Specialty Field Sales Representative consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs (e.g., HEP/GI) and key customers.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales/outcomes to exceed goals; seek wins and leverage key customer insights.
- Build/maintain relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and key health system personnel.
- Coordinate resources and support local clinical/educational initiatives for target physicians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share insights/trends and coordinate plans across the territory.
- Challenge and influence HCPsโ patient management appropriately by sharing new, approved clinical/scientific information.
- Create and execute tailored account and business plans; analyze customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitors.
- Maintain timely and accurate activity records/call data.
- Implement the Novo Nordisk Way selling model (pre-call planning, uncover needs, resolve objections, gain commitment, transition).
- Manage samples/company property per policies; manage discretionary territory and promotional budgets.
- Contribute product/disease-state knowledge in meetings, training, and conventions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs (or equivalent) and/or PharmD required.
- Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making; self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); prior sales data/call reporting experience ideal.
- Health Systems and/or Institutional Account experience preferred; gastroenterology/hepatology knowledge preferred.
- Clinical approach to selling; ability to navigate PAโs in a rapidly developing market.
Physical Requirement:
- Valid driverโs license; good standing under company motor vehicle record threshold.
