The Position
Consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs (e.g., HEP/GI) and key customers.

Relationships
- Externally: Maintains relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and key healthcare personnel in academic and community health systems; coordinates company resources for aligned clinical/educational initiatives.
- Internally: Reports to the District Business Manager; collaborates with field-based employees (DBMs, DCSs, Market Access Team, Diabetes Educators, Medical Liaisons) and shares insights to coordinate approaches.

Essential Functions
- Drives sales/outcomes to exceed goals; seeks wins.
- Shares customer insights/trends; leads team/partner initiatives.
- Identifies key customer insights; challenges HCP approaches with respectful, value-adding insights.
- Uses account plans, business acumen, and analytics to advance the business.
- Exhibits product/disease state fluency; uses account mindset; adapts to new environments.
- Coordinates with other reps to drive results across geography/segments (Endo and PCP).
- Executes sales strategies based on customer needs, trends, and competitors.
- Maintains required activity records/call data; manages samples/property in line with policies.
- Understands scientific/clinical brand strategy underpinnings; generates advocacy using approved information.
- Supports launches by aligning physicians around change, value propositions, and appropriate patients.
- Manages discretionary territory and promotional budgets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required.
- Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making; clinical approach to selling.
- Ability to navigate PA’s in a rapidly developing market.
- Health systems/institutional account experience preferred; gastroenterology and/or hepatology knowledge preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); sales data/call reporting software ideal.
- Self-starter with ability to make decisions with minimal supervision.
