The Position
- Consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs and key customers.
Essential Functions
- Drive sales and outcomes to exceed goals; seek wins.
- Share key customer insights/trends; lead team/partner initiatives to drive results.
- Identify and leverage key customer insights to stay ahead of market trends.
- Productively challenge and influence target physicians’ approach to patient management using new, unique information.
- Apply business acumen and analytics to advance the business.
- Exhibit product and disease-state fluency; use an account mindset and develop tailored account plans.
- Adapt to new environments; employ a patient-centric approach.
- Execute sales strategies based on customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitor products.
- Maintain timely and accurate activity records/call data.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the Novo Nordisk Way selling model (pre/post-call planning, purposeful engagement, solution delivery, objection resolution, and gain commitment).
- For launches, establish alignment among targeted physicians on need for change, value propositions, and appropriate patients for trial/utilization.
- Exercise control of samples/company property; manage discretionary territory and promotional budgets.
- Use approved resources and clinical study knowledge to engage HCPs; participate in meetings/training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent and/or PharmD required.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience required.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability.
- Ability to navigate PA’s in rapidly developing market.
- Clinical approach to selling and engaging customers.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); sales data/call reporting software ideal.
- Health systems/institutional account experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiology and/or nephrology preferred.
- Self-starter; able to make decisions with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirement
- Valid driver’s license; in good standing (per company points threshold).
