Pharma Compounding Technician - 1st Shift

Position Summary:
Collaborate as part of a team to operate pharmaceutical compounding equipment and perform related tasks. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate strong teamwork skills. Exhibit reliable attendance and a commitment to workplace responsibilities.
Hours:
1st Shift. M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm or M-Th 5:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain and complete accurate records, including timecards, batch records, and logbooks.
- Operate assigned equipment (blenders, dryers, Glatt Granulators, weigh room scales, liquid vessels); clean and maintain production equipment and facilities; set up and disassemble equipment.
- Operate in-process devices (moisture analyzers, pH meters) and use material handling devices (electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, hi-lifts).
- Follow SOPs and current cGMPs; maintain housekeeping and adhere to dress code.
- Apply safe manufacturing practices, including lock-out/tag-out; read and interpret MSDS; use required PPE (safety shoes, glasses, respirators, gloves, hearing protection).
- Escalate questionable issues; follow written/verbal instructions; stop processes due to anomalies; identify out-of-specification materials.
- Perform PC-based tasks, including SAP transactions and BMS activities (e.g., Walk-In Dryers).
Education and Experience:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to meet physical requirements; read/interpret procedures; apply general math; basic mechanical understanding; experience using hand tools; proficient with handheld calculators.
Preferred: Technical school certification or 1β2 years college coursework; minimum two years manufacturing experience; familiarity with personal computers and Windows applications.
Physical/Work Environment:
- Lift 20β40 lbs routinely; up to 50 lbs occasionally; may climb/sit/crouch/reach/stand for extended periods; work flexible hours.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, loud noise, and temperature variations; work at heights up to 25 feet.
