Position Summary
As the People Business Partner, you will support leaders and employees, serve as a consultant to business leaders, and partner with global HR to advance Bio-Techneβs people priorities. Support People initiatives across assigned client groups and advance the OneHR global strategy.
Function Overview
- Organization Effectiveness: efficient, modern processes; nimble plan execution; talent system use; collaboration across HR centers of excellence.
- Talent Management: assist with assessing, hiring, engaging, and retaining for talent succession.
- Leadership Development: support leadership capability development and employee/leader development.
- People Optimization: lead at the site to enhance the people experience through strategic partnership and streamlined processes.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with employees of all levels to understand goals and align strategies.
- Translate organizational strategies into People initiatives and action plans.
- Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues; advise managers on performance and discipline.
- Support career development, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Identify organizational improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor; lead/contribute to People projects and programs.
- Manage employee lifecycle (onboarding through departure).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and appropriate People policies; support People annual processes.
- Improve People processes to positively impact employee experience.
Education & Experience (Qualifications)
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 3β5+ years progressive People function experience.
- Strategic business partner/advisor to site leaders and employees.
- Experience leading/resolving employee relations investigations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Global, matrix organization experience preferred.
- Location: Wallingford, Connecticut.
