Position Summary
As the People Business Partner, support leaders and employees, serve as a consultant to business leaders, and partner with global HR to advance people priorities. Support People initiatives across assigned client groups and advance the OneHR global strategy.
Function Overview
- Organization Effectiveness: modern, sustainable HR processes; efficient execution; use talent systems; collaborate across HR centers of excellence.
- Talent Management: global mindset; assess, hire, engage, and retain for talent succession.
- Leadership Development: support leadership capability development for employee/leader growth.
- People Optimization: strategic partnership at the site to enhance the employee experience.
Accountabilities
- Act as a point of contact; understand employee goals and develop aligned strategies.
- Translate organizational strategy into People initiatives and action plans.
- Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues; advise managers.
- Advise on performance management, disciplinary actions, and other People matters.
- Support career development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Identify organizational improvement opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
- Lead or contribute to People projects; ensure timely implementation.
- Manage employee administrative lifecycle (onboarding through departure).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations; ensure People policies are in place.
- Support People annual processes; improve People processes to enhance employee experience.
Education and Experience / Skills
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 3β5+ years progressive People function experience.
- Strategic business partner/advisor to site leaders and employees.
- Experience leading and resolving employee relations investigations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Global, matrix organization experience preferred.
- Located in San Jose, California.
