Payments Manager - Rahway, NJ

Role: Lead the strategic development and operational oversight of the credit union’s payments ecosystem, including card services, ACH, wires, and digital/real-time payments. Objectives: enhance member satisfaction, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while advancing payment innovations. Responsibilities: manage all payment operations, monitor industry trends, evaluate new payment platforms and partnerships, oversee vendor relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally with Digital Banking, IT, Marketing, and Finance. Ensure adherence to applicable regulations such as NACHA, Reg E, PCI DSS, and FFIEC guidelines; lead risk management practices; track KPIs for performance and member experience; and foster team development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related; 5+ years in financial services payments with 2+ years in leadership; in-depth knowledge of U.S. payment networks (card, ACH, RTP, Zelle, FedNow) and digital wallets; proven vendor management, strategic planning, and compliance skills. Preferred: Experience in credit unions, fintech, or mid-sized financial institutions; familiarity with systems like Jack Henry Symitar, Fiserv, and successful digital transformation initiatives.
