Role Summary

Patient Navigator Team Lead, Oncology. Lead a regionally aligned team of Patient Navigators to ensure an exceptional patient experience, with compliance to policies and BRDs, and cross-functional collaboration across Market Access, Access and Reimbursement Field Teams, training/quality, and other stakeholders. Primary location in Durham, NC with remote options across the US; program hours 8am-8pm EST.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a regionally aligned team of Patient Navigators to support a best-in-class patient experience.
  • Oversee high-touch patient support services while ensuring compliance with program BRDs and policies.
  • Utilize data to drive efficiency across the patient journey.
  • Foster relationships with field leadership for effective collaboration with field teams.
  • Support creation and implementation of new patient-centric strategies and tactics.
  • Quality-manage the team to ensure high-level support for all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain program materials (SOPs, work instructions, business rules) with leadership.
  • Facilitate and document recurring team meetings with strong organizational skills.
  • Report activities, performance, risks, and other updates to leadership.
  • Identify risks and opportunities; support driving solutions and best practices.
  • Escalate appropriately to Operations Director or Senior leadership as needed.
  • Support creation and implementation of Patient Services internal controls and processes.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Required: 3+ years’ experience in market access, patient support, copay, reimbursement, and vendor management/team leadership.
  • Required: 2+ years of experience in Salesforce Health Cloud for managing patient support programs and case management.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree; experience with oncology PSPs, REMS, and infusion product programs; prior authorization certification or case management certification; field access/reimbursement experience; national access experience; experience launching PSPs; strong leadership and regulatory compliance knowledge; excellent communication; ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
