As a Patient Educator, you’ll empower patients and caregivers navigating Parkinson’s Disease Psychosis (PDP) with compassionate, clear disease-state education, treatment information (including NUPLAZID), and support from early engagement through access and ongoing adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prescription (pre-NBRx) disease state education to patients/caregivers via small group meetings and presentations to advocacy groups, community organizations, and professional societies.
- Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and access support through ACADIA Connect (for opted-in patients/caregivers).
- Provide approved educational resources to help patients/caregivers understand PDP and discuss treatment with their doctor.
- Distribute approved materials on PDP and potential treatment with NUPLAZID.
- Build trusting relationships and provide ongoing support.
- Collaborate with Patient Access Managers (PAMs) on coverage, reimbursement, and affordability questions.
- Facilitate referrals and patient transitions into ACADIA Connect.
- Partner with Neurology and Long-Term Care Sales Specialists to inform community providers about the Patient Educator resources.
- Respond to inquiries from patients/caregivers, key customers, community organizations, and advocacy events.
- Collaborate with community/advocacy groups and professional societies on education programs.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team to improve engagement and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3–5+ years pharma experience; preferred in patient education, patient navigation, advocacy, or patient support services.
- Knowledge of neurology/psychiatry/movement disorders; Parkinson’s Disease or PDP experience strongly desired.
- Demonstrated empathetic, supportive relationship-building.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Experience collaborating across marketing, patient support, advocacy, and field teams.
- Familiarity with compliance standards for patient-facing pharmaceutical roles.
- Ability to travel (driving, overnight stays; air as needed) and meet territory requirements.

Salary Range: $109,500–$136,900 USD
