Role: The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) is a field-based role focused on patient education and reimbursement support for Ascendis Pharma's therapies, primarily in rare endocrine and oncology indications. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for patients and caregivers, providing education on disease states, product use, insurance processes, and affordability resources, and managing long-term relationships. The PAL collaborates with internal teams such as Patient Advocacy, Safety, and PV to ensure timely access and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years in patient support, clinical or allied health licensure preferred, with experience in pediatrics, endocrinology, or related fields, and a minimum of 2 years in pharma. Experience with orphan/rare disease product launches, patient education on injectables, and reimbursement obstacles is preferred. Skills in communication, autonomy, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FDA, OIG) are essential.
