Role: Patient Access Liaison (PAL) supporting therapy access and education for Ascendis Pharma's rare disease and oncology portfolios. Primary objectives include guiding patients and caregivers through insurance, reimbursement, and medication administration processes, while providing disease state and product education to facilitate timely and appropriate treatment initiation. Responsibilities encompass building long-term relationships with patients and care teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Patient Advocacy and PV, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role involves up to 50% travel, including in-home visits, and participation in patient symposia. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of direct patient support experience; clinical or allied health licensure preferred, with 2+ years in pharma, especially in orphan or rare disease launches. Experience in patient education, reimbursement obstacles, and injectable therapies is required. Bilingual skills are advantageous. High-Value: Focus on rare and orphan diseases, endocrinology, neurology, or pediatrics; emphasis on patient education, reimbursement support, and compliance with HIPAA and FDA regulations. Work setup includes field-based interactions with potential travel to patient homes and advocacy events.
