Position Summary:
Serve as a field-based access and reimbursement expert, providing end-to-end support to healthcare providers (HCPs) to enable on-label patient access to ACADIA therapies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively educate HCPs on navigating access programs, processes, and requirements (in-person and virtual).
- Prevent and address access and reimbursement issues through education, problem-solving, and resolution.
- Build and maintain access-related relationships with HCP accounts and office support staff.
- Apply market knowledge to the patient access process, coverage pathways, and coverage/reimbursement requirements.
- Conduct proactive in-services on the access journey (coverage pathways, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy coordination, appeals, hub resources, patient support services).
- Escalate local payer issues to National Account Managers and PAM Leads.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify complex issues and improve customer experience.
- Serve as the expert on ACADIA customer support programs in the assigned territory.
- Provide pre-referral educational in-services to prevent coverage barriers.
- Provide post-referral support: education needs, pull-through of access/coverage, coordination with customer support and specialty pharmacies.
- Support continuity of access (reauthorization requirements, payer transitions, minimize therapy interruptions).
- Facilitate patient reimbursement and affordability (prior authorizations, appeals, financial support options).
- Build relationships with pharmacy staff and share insights.
- Provide expertise on regional and national payer plans.
- Support national-level initiatives to improve access and reimbursement.
- Champion and manage appropriate utilization of patient support services and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences concentration preferred. Advanced degrees (RN, MSN, MBA) a plus.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, market access, national accounts, or specialty pharmacy; deep access and reimbursement expertise.
- Medicare expertise strongly preferred.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Track record of increased responsibilities.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration; proven ability to lead without authority.
- Experience working with provider offices/patient assistance programs (strongly preferred).
- Patient-centric, service-oriented mindset; emotional intelligence, empathy, and active listening.
- Exceptional organization and time management.
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy.
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage expenses within allocated budgets.
- Adaptable to change; team-oriented drive to succeed.
- Ability to travel up to 60%.

- Regularly: stand/walk/sit; use hands/arms; reach; climb/balance; stoop/kneel/crouch; see/talk/hear in a standard office environment.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range:
$128,000β€”$160,000 USD
