Role: Patient Access Manager II - Neurology, focused on supporting patients with therapy access and reimbursement in a rare neurological disorder setting. Responsibilities: work directly with patients and caregivers to navigate insurance, prior authorization, and appeals; provide education on disease and treatment; assess individual needs related to payer policies, healthcare system, and resources; collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including advocacy groups and charitable organizations; serve as regional point person for patient advocacy activities and monitor payer environment changes. Requirements: BS/BA (advanced degree preferred); minimum 5 years in healthcare or biotech, with at least 3 years in field-based account management, reimbursement, or clinical education; experience working with patients/caregivers, especially in rare diseases, and deep understanding of insurance and medication reimbursement processes; strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; familiarity with legal/regulatory standards (HIPAA, anti-kickback, FD&C Act).
