Patent Counsel/Senior Patent Counsel

Role: Senior Patent Counsel specializing in biopharmaceutical intellectual property, focusing on large molecule platforms including antibodies, cell and gene therapies. Objectives: Develop and manage global patent strategies to support Legend Biotech's innovative biotherapeutics pipeline, including CAR-T and other cellular therapies. Responsibilities: Drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing IP due diligence, advising on strategic transactions, handling post-grant proceedings, and supporting licensing and collaborations. Collaborates with R&D, legal, and business teams; interacts with outside counsel. Qualifications: Juris Doctor with USPTO admission; 8+ years in life sciences patent prosecution, with expertise in biopharma, particularly in large molecules and gene/cell therapies. Experience supporting business development, licensing, and strategic IP transactions preferred. High-Value: Focus on antibody, cell, and gene therapy platforms; experience with US and international patent law, including freedom-to-operate and validity analyses. Work setup: Hybrid (3 days/week), with some travel between NJ and PA locations.
