Patent Counsel

Role: Senior Patent Counsel within Amneal's Intellectual Property team, focusing on developing and managing patent portfolios to safeguard specialty pharmaceutical assets. Responsibilities include providing IP guidance to R&D and senior management, drafting and prosecuting patent applications globally, conducting freedom-to-operate analyses, and supporting licensing, due diligence, and litigation activities. The position involves strategic IP portfolio development, lifecycle management, and risk assessment to enhance competitive positioning. Requirements: Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, Bachelor's in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or pharmacy, with 5+ years of legal experience in pharma or law firms advising pharmaceutical clients. Must hold licenses to practice law in a U.S. state (preferably NJ) and to practice before the USPTO. Preferred skills include patent drafting/prosecution, managing multiple projects, and providing timely legal advice. High-Value: experience in patent lifecycle management, global patent prosecution, FTO, and patent law knowledge pertinent to biotech/pharma assets. Work Setup: hybrid (3 days onsite in Bridgewater). Salary: $250K-$280K, with short-term and long-term incentives.
