Patent Counsel

Role: Patent Attorney specializing in chemical and biological sciences within the biopharma industry, supporting R&D through patent prosecution, strategy, and IP management. Responsibilities: develop patenting strategies across discovery to commercialization; draft and prosecute patent applications globally; conduct freedom-to-operate analyses; support patent litigation and IP due diligence; collaborate with R&D, legal, business development, and commercial teams; support IP aspects of collaborations and acquisitions. Requirements: Bachelor's in biological, pharmaceutical, or chemical sciences; JD from an accredited US law school; USPTO registration; 5+ years in pharma/biotech patent law; strong technical background; excellent communication skills. Preferred: advanced science degree; client counseling experience; cross-functional teamwork; proactive judgment. High-Value: focus on novel chemical/biological inventions, support of biopharmaceutical products across therapeutic areas and modalities, involvement in all development phases, and engagement in global patent prosecution.
